Philadelphia Flyers Tickets

Recalling the old story of the boy who cried wolf, Flyers forward Simon Gagne worries that fans will permanently turn a deaf ear to hockey if the NHL and its players association keep teasing them with false hopes of a settlement. After another negotiating session ended yesterday without a labor agreement, Gagne felt like so many other fans of the game - fooled again.

"It's very tough for us to see this stuff on TV, so I know it has to be very tough on the fans," he said from his home in Quebec City. "It's like we're playing with them a little, with things going up and down like this."

If there is any good news, Flyers president Ron Ryan said, it is that the inconvenience to the paying customers of a canceled NHL did not really extend to their wallets.

Ryan said that nearly 85 percent of the team's season-ticketholders were on a credit card payment plan that resulted in none of them having paid anything all season - and, therefore, none of them requiring refunds.
